Playing and Playing and Playing and Playing

We were so busy last week playing with friends and family, we had no time for blog updates! Here are some of the highlights. . .

PRESIDENT'S DAY PARTY!
T's friend Morgan (well, his mom, really) reserved the soft play room at the local rec center. Thomas LOVED LOVED LOVED it!

The slide--this was his favorite "station."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COUSIN L!

Cousin L turned 5 last week and we joined her for a celebratory dinner at Aunt Gammy's.

Thomas gave the birthday girl a birthday tiara.


We also got to continue operation BFF.


And last but not least. . .

A visit from Aba!


All in all, it was a pretty good week.

15 Month Stats

Height: 33 inches
Weight: 25 lbs, 2 oz.

I should also note that when T got his vaccinations today, he didn't even flinch. He watched the whole thing and was very grown up about it. No tears, just a quick glance at his dinosaur band-aid and then he went on with his day...

Take 5

Thomas invited his friend Morgan over to play today. Morgan has a new baby sister, so we thought it would be a nice break for him to come over and play.

T: "Okay Morgan, make yourself at home. Trucks are here, buckets are to your right, and the kitchen is right behind me."

T: "Morgan, I'll be right back, I'm just going to make us some Mac n Cheese."

T: "So, if we eat all of our dinner, my mom will give us some animal crackers."

Zoo Day with Daddy

We were fortunate to have 70 degree weather yesterday, a perfect day for a zoo trip with Daddy.

At the petting zoo, investigating the donkey exhibit.

T: "I hope this gorilla doesn't try to get into my bed tonight, like the one in that book I have..."

Excited to see the elephant and the hippo.

I've been trying to teach Thomas to blow kisses for a while, he never does it. Yesterday my mom was here and as she was leaving I said, "Blow kisses," and he did! Guess he decided it was time to show off a new skill.

Even better, I was able to catch it on film last night after dinner...

Culinary School

Lesson One: Liquid Measurements
Examine the liquid at eye level to determine the proper amount.

Wisk until blended, but don't overwork the batter!

Take a few bites to make sure your dish is edible.
