Weekend of Cousins

Last weekend, Thomas and I spent some time with his cousins.

Friday of course, is pizza night, and we spent it with E and K. We ordered pizza from E's favorite place.

Cousin E, the big Kindergartener, shows T the real way to use a wheelbarrow.

Step 1: Dump out toys

Step 2: Insert baby cousin

Cousin K supervised the operation.

And then we went to spend the weekend with Cousin C,

who has grown so much since we last saw her!

T: Hmm, it appears that all of my cousins are girls. . .

T: Well, at least they have a good toy selection. . .

T: Okay, enough. Photo shoot over!

Lock Down

The wild man has forced us into child proofing--at least getting a gate at the top of the stairs. The installation crew-Aba and Papa John-provided their services last weekend.

T: "Um, what is going on here?"

It's all fun and games. . .

. . .until the gate goes up!

Headbanger's Ball

For some reason, Thomas really likes Maroon 5 (or maybe it's Rihanna?). The other day while driving, their newest song was playing on the radio, and out of the corner of my eye, I noticed more movement in the car seat than usual. I glanced in the rear view mirror, and saw Thomas dancing away in his car seat! Please see video below. All I have to do is play this song and he stops what he is doing, stares up at the speakers, and then starts singing and doing this crazy headbanging dance.

Zoo Date

Yesterday Thomas and I met baby A. and her mommy C. at the zoo. This was Thomas' first trip to the zoo and the babies had so much fun together!

T: "I'm ready to see the pandas!"

T: "Hmm, that goat doesn't really sound like the goat my Mommy tries to imitate when she reads me my animal sounds book."

"CHEESE!"

Dear Claire,

Thomas does enjoy looking at your picture, he even tries to talk to you! However, he does get impatient, and crawls away once he realizes that your picture will not respond to him!
