Just Checking

I've somehow managed to get both boys on a bed time routine that works with both of them together. Although, I must admit, it helps that right now they go to bed around the same time. After they go to bed, I always go up a little later to check on them. The other night, this is how I found them:

My sweet baby Jay is fast asleep.

Thomas on the other hand, well, just see for yourself:

Reading in bed!
So cute, instead of scolding him, I instantly called for Geoff to get the camera.
Elmo today, J.R.R. Tolkien tomorrow.

School Spirit

In the days of long ago, before I had children, I swore that when I did have children, I would never dress them in matching outfits.

Does this count?

The Blue Blanket

Thomas has a blanket. The blue blanket, or as he calls it, "Boo Bankeet." If he had his way, Blue Blanket would go everywhere. For now, we keep it confined to the crib, or to the upstairs. Recently we've allowed Blue Blanket downstairs since Thomas hasn't been feeling well. The other day Thomas grabbed the blanket and snuggled it and said, "So happy, boo bankeet."

He LOVES this thing.

A recent conversation we had involving the Blue Blanket:

M: "Thomas, you love your blue blanket, don't you?"
T: "yah, and Mama, too."

So sweet, I can't even stand it!

Happy Birthday, Renee!

Special birthday message from Jay: "I can't think of a better way to debut my voice on this blog than by wishing my Renee a happy birthday. Oh, and I'm supposed to tell you that Thomas says happy birthday, too."

Remember this photo? Geoff and Thomas in the same pose.

Now check this out:

Ahhh, if they only made princess sofas for men. . .

My Little Elf

No caption necessary, the title says it all.
Should I save this photo for Jay's rehearsal dinner? Or maybe for his senior collage in his high school yearbook?

Mr. Smiley

The first real smiles appeared about three weeks ago, and they were sporadic. Now he lights up at the sound of my voice and it's so so sweet.

Snow Day

The snow has nearly melted, so just in case you've forgotten, a few shots from the "blizzard" of a few weeks ago

Thomas enjoyed the snow. He did not enjoy suiting up in all the gear required to go out in the snow. He had to wear our neighbor's pink snow boots, since I failed to find boots for him prior to the storm.

Our house. . .and Geoff giving Thomas a sled ride down the street.

Yep, it's picturesque, but I'd be lying if I told you that I'm not counting down the days to our Florida trip.
